Florida probate, handled without the office visits

Probate is hard enough when you're grieving. We handle the court filings, the deadlines, and the paperwork, by phone, Zoom, email, and mail, anywhere in the state.

Which kind of probate do you need?

Usually faster

Summary administration

Available when the probate estate (not counting exempt property like homestead) is worth $150,000 or less for deaths on or after July 1, 2026, or $75,000 or less for earlier deaths. It's also available when the person died more than two years ago.

Full process

Formal administration

A personal representative is appointed by the court to collect assets, notify creditors, pay valid debts, and distribute what's left to the heirs or beneficiaries.

Not sure which applies? That's what the free call is for.

What we take care of

Opening the estate

Petition, death certificate, will (if any), and getting the personal representative appointed.

Notices & creditors

Notice to creditors, publication, and tracking the claim deadlines.

Assets & homestead

Inventory, bank accounts, and determining homestead status for the house.

Closing

Distribution to heirs, final paperwork, and discharge of the personal representative.

Common questions

Do I need a lawyer for probate in Florida?

In most cases, yes. Florida's probate rules generally require the personal representative to be represented by a Florida attorney, with limited exceptions.

I live out of state. Can you still help?

Yes. Many of our probate clients live outside Florida. Everything is handled remotely.

How long does probate take?

Summary administration can wrap up in a few months. Formal administration usually takes longer because of the creditor period. We'll give you a realistic estimate for your situation.

Do you handle disputes between family members?

No. We focus on probate where the family is on the same page. If there's a will contest or a fight over assets, we'll point you to a probate litigation attorney.
